Mold prevention

You cannot keep spores out of a Florida house. You can refuse them a wet surface.

• Keep indoor humidity under 50 percent. Air conditioning and a dehumidifier do that work.
• Kitchen, bath, and dryer exhaust must dump outside, not into an attic.
• Fix roof, wall, and plumbing leaks. If the wet area is bigger than a towel, call us.
• After a flood, dry the structure within 24–48 hours.
• Do not recarpet a bathroom or basement that stays damp.
• If the visible patch is larger than about ten square feet, skip the bleach bottle and get a containment job.
